Audit Log
The append-only record of every governed change in your organization.
The Audit Log (Administration → Audit Log) is your organization's record of who did what, and when. Every governed change — creation, update, deletion, or status transition — is written to it as it happens.
Who can see it
Admins and ops directors only. Other roles don't see the page.
What gets recorded
| Action | Examples |
|---|---|
| create | A project, phase, or budget line was created; an invitation was sent |
| update | A budget revision, a corrected time log, a changed part cost |
| delete | A work order or phase was deleted |
| transition | A work order moved between statuses |
| reopen | An admin reopened a closed work order |
Each entry shows:
- When it happened.
- Action — the kind of change, as a badge.
- Entity — what was changed (project, work order, budget line, invitation…).
- Actor — who made the change.
Why it's useful
- Budget disputes — every budget revision stores its previous amount, new amount, and reason.
- "Who closed this?" — transitions and reopens are attributed to the person who performed them.
- Cost corrections — edited time logs and material entries are recorded with before/after values.
The one rule
The log is append-only: entries can never be edited or removed, by anyone. What happened is what's written.
